Since 1999, Kerri Smith has focused her law practice on the representation of individuals and families who have been injured by the negligence of others. A cum laude graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, Ms. Smith has been the recipient of multiple academic honors and awards, including being named a Garden State Scholar and having been selected by her law professors as deserving recognition in excellence in Copyright Law, Defamation & Privacy, Florida Law, and Citizenship. Ms. Smith is admitted to practice in the State of Florida, the District of Columbia, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the United State Supreme Court. She is also a member of The Florida Bar, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and the Florida Justice Association, where she serves a a Board Member and past-chair of the Women’s Caucus Section.
During the course of her career, Ms. Smith has represented her clients against some of the largest insurance companies in the world. Her Boca Raton, Florida based law practice primarily serves residents and businesses in Palm Beach, Broward, Dade, and Martin Counties. The types of cases litigated by Ms. Smith include: auto accidents, wrongful death, medical malpractice, dog bites, construction defects, premises liability, and general liability cases.
Raised on the Jersey Shore, Ms. Smith moved to South Florida over 20 years ago and has been here ever since. An avid water sports enthusiast, Ms. Smith has donated an extensive amount of her time to environmental non-profit organizations and to protecting the environment.
